Waging a war against Iran will be a failure of statecraft, the former head of the British armed forces has said.
The use of force against Iran should be avoided, Retired Gen Sir Nick Carter said in an exclusive interview with The National, two months after his retirement as chief of defense staff. “What needs to happen here is that the diplomats need to get around the table and deals need to be struck,” he said. “We don’t want to see the military instrument being used. It will be a failure.
