Syrian Air Defenses Repel Zionist Missile Aggression

DAMASCUS (Dispatches) – Syrian air defenses thwarted a fresh missile attack by the Zionist regime that targeted the western Masyaf area in Hama governorate after midnight Thursday, Syrian state TV reported.
The TV aired footage of the air defenses intercepting the Zionist regime’s missiles in the sky over Masyaf.
The Syrian army said in a statement that the missile attack was launched from the Libyan capital city of Tripoli towards Masyaf, adding the country’s anti-missile apparatus managed to intercept and destroy the projectiles midair.
State television, meanwhile, broadcast footage of the successful defensive maneuver.
There was no immediate comment from the Zionist regime.
Shortly before the raids, warplanes belonging to the Zionist regime were heard flying over neighboring Lebanon, with some residents of Beirut reporting seeing missiles in the skies over the city.
The occupying regime of Israel regularly violates Lebanese airspace and has launched hundreds of raids in Syria since the start of the foreign-backed war in 2011. The regime has also been providing instrumental support to anti-Syria terrorist groups since then. It has, on numerous occasions, provided safe passage and medical treatment to the terrorists fleeing Damascus’ operations into the Golan Heights.
The Zionist regime and Syria are technically at war due to the former’s 1967-present occupation of the Arab country’s Golan Heights.
