Israel reacts to Turkey’s halting of trade ties with Tel Aviv

The Israeli regime has reacted to Turkey’s decision to halt trade ties with Tel Aviv until Israel declares a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and ensures the delivery of humanitarian aid to the region.

The Israeli regime’s foreign ministry announced on Friday several measures to be taken against Turley following the latter’s decision to halt all trade activities with Israel due to “non-stop violence” against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

The Zionist regime’s ministry said in a statement that it was decided to work towards reducing any economic connection between Turkey and the West Bank and Gaza, Xinhua reported.

Turkey has completely stopped trade with Israel, the Turkish Trade Ministry said.

“Export-import operations with Israel have been stopped for all groups of goods,” the ministry said in a statement.

Turkey’s trade sanctions will remain in force until Israel declares a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and ensures the delivery of humanitarian aid to the region, the ministry said, TASS reported.

“The restrictive measures will remain in force until Israel declares an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and ensures an adequate and uninterrupted flow of humanitarian aid. Turkey will strictly and resolutely implement these new measures,” the statement said.

Israel waged a genocidal war on the besieged Gaza on October 7 after the Palestinian Hamas Resistance group carried out a historic operation against the occupying entity in retaliation for the regime’s intensified atrocities against the Palestinian people.

At least 34,596 Palestinians have been killed and 77,816 wounded in Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7.

Israel has imposed a complete siege on the densely populated territory, cutting off fuel, electricity, food, and water to the more than two million Palestinians living there.
