Iranian taekwondo practitioners won four more medals on final day of Open Qualification Tournament for Wuxi 2022 Grand Slam Champions Series on Friday.
Iran’s Nahid Kiani lost to her Hungarian rival Luana Marton 2:1 in the women’s -57kg final.
The bronze medal went to China’s Wenjing Gu as she overcame Iran’s Tina Modanlou 2:0.
Iran’s Mahdi Hajimousaei lost to Korean athlete Woo-hyeok Jung 2:0 in the men’s -58kg. China added to its bronze medal tally as Kai Cheng won by withdrawal.
Iran’s Amir Mohammad Bakhshi took gold in the men’s -80kg after his compatriot Mehran Barkhordari withdrew from the match and Geon-Woo Seo of Korea won bronze.
Iran’s Reza Kalhor (gold) and Danial Bozorgi (silver) in the men’s -68kg, Saeideh Nasiri (silver) in the women’s -49kg, and Abolfazl Abbasi (bronze) in the +80kg had won medals on the first day.
