Thousands Across World Stage Pro-Palestinian Protests

One Palestinian was martyred Tuesday when Zionist troops stormed a refugee camp in the occupied West Bank.
The incident is the latest in wave of unrest rocking the West Bank as the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
The Palestinian health ministry said 20-year-old Ahmed Ibrahim Oweidat “succumbed to critical wounds sustained by live bullets to the head, at dawn today in Aqabat Jaber camp” which is near Ariha.
The official Palestinian news agency Wafa said three men were injured when the “undercover” forces raided the camp overnight.
Te occupying regime’s army in a statement to AFP said that the regime’s troops conducted an overnight operation in Aqabat “to apprehend wanted suspects.”
Local sources, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the Zionist troops were seeking to arrest local resident Muhammad Abdullah Tariq and his son Hamza.
The sources added that the raid sparked clashes between Palestinians and the regime troops, who fired live rounds, rubber-coated bullets, tear gas canisters, and stun grenades to disperse the protesting crowd.
Medical sources in Ariha confirmed that the troops shot three Palestinians with live fire – two in the lower extremities and one in the head.
Meanwhile, thousands of people took to the streets throughout many Western countries in support of the Palestinian cause of liberation from Zionist occupation and aggression.
The rallies took place across Canada and European countries on Tuesday. The participants denounced the escalation of the regime’s brutal attacks on Palestinian worshippers at the Al-Aqsa Mosque’s compound in the holy occupied city of Al-Quds.
Hundreds held a “Free Palestine” rally throughout the city of Toronto in Canada in condemnation of the Zionist violence, chanting anti-Tel Aviv slogans and demanding an end to the regime’s occupation of Palestinian territories.
Thousands demonstrated in Berlin, urging cessation of the regime’s attacks on the worshipers. The German police reportedly rounded up a number of the protesters.
Hundreds raged against the regime’s atrocities throughout the city of Innsbruck in Austria, expressing solidarity with the oppressed Palestinians.
Other European cities that witnessed hundreds-strong pro-Palestinian protests included London, Manchester, Milan, Maastricht and Amsterdam in the Netherlands,
The London rally was held in front of the Israeli embassy, with representatives of several Muslim and anti-war societies in attendance.
Mustafa Barghouti, the Secretary-General of the Palestinian National Initiative party, says the Zionist regime’s biggest failure is the collapse of its entire projects in the occupied territories as the regime has been unable to confront the Palestinian resistance.
Barghouti made the comment in an interview with Iran’s Arabic-language Al Alam television news network on Monday.
“Israel’s security failure lies in its inability to confront the Palestinian resistance,” Barghouti said. “The biggest failure is the political failure because the Israeli projects have failed. The first project is to use normalization to pass the ‘deal of the century’. Normalization was not an influential factor and could not marginalize the Palestinian cause.”
Also on Monday, Secretary General of the Gaza-based Islamic Jihad resistance movement Ziad al-Nakhala said the Palestinian people are more energetic than ever before in their confrontation with the Zionist regime.
Nakhala made the remarks in a conference dubbed “Palestine, the Central Issue of Islamic Ummah,” which was held in the Yemeni capital city of Sana’a.
“Our nation is faced with the Zionist regime’s onslaught, which seeks to Judaize Al-Quds and create new realities on the ground,” he said, adding, “The Palestinian nation is creating new equations in its confrontation with the Zionist regime.”
He said the conference was another proof of Yemen’s support for the Palestinian cause and that the aggressors in Yemen are approaching the Zionist regime despite its Judaization moves and destruction of the Palestinian nation’s identity.
Meanwhile, a senior member of the Hamas resistance movement described the occupied West Bank as the breeding ground for Palestinian operations against the Zionist regime, stressing the need for resistance by all means and methods.
“The era of attacks against our Palestinian brethren and sisters is over,” said Zaher Jabarin, a member of the Hamas political bureau. “The occupying Israeli regime is a bogus entity.”
