An Iranian MP said Sunday the president of Azerbaijan had made a comment about Iranian Azerbaijanis, advising him to read the Gulistan treaty to understand who belongs to where.
In a recent statement, Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev claimed that people living in Iranian provinces in the northwest had been separated from the former Soviet republic and that he cared about their rights.
