Pro-Palestine rally held in front of German parliament

Pro-Palestine protesters staged a rally in front of Germany’s parliament, the Bundestag, on Monday.

Pro-Palestine protesters staged a rally in front of Germany’s parliament as the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in the Netherlands began hearing a case brought by Nicaragua blaming Berlin for facilitating “genocide” in Gaza by providing political and military support to Israel, Anadolu Agency reported.

The crowd carried Palestinian flags and banners saying “Genocide-Germany is participating again” and “Stop supplying weapons.”

Israel waged its brutal war on besieged Gaza on October 7 after Hamas carried out an unprecedented operation against the occupying entity in retaliation for its intensified atrocities against the Palestinian people.

Israel has imposed a complete siege on the densely populated territory, cutting off fuel, electricity, food, and water to the more than two million Palestinians living there.

On March 25, the UN Security Council passed a resolution demanding an immediate cease-fire in Gaza during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. While Hamas welcomed the resolution, Israel rejected the cease-fire call and vowed to continue its war on the Palestinian enclave.

Israel stands blamed for genocide at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), which in January issued an interim ruling that ordered it to stop genocidal acts and take measures to guarantee that humanitarian assistance is provided to civilians in Gaza.
