President: US Sanctions Unable to Disrupt Iran’s Oil, Non-Oil Exports

Iranian President Seyed Ebrahim Rayeesi said that Tehran’s progress has made enemies furious as US attempts to disturb Iran’s trade through sanctions have failed.

Speaking on Thursday at a meeting of the Administrative Council of Islamshahr City near Tehran, Rayeesi stated that the enemy seeks to slow down Iran’s progress, stressing that neither the nation nor the government will not allow this momentum to slow down.

“This is what makes the enemy angry. The foe sees that every day in this country, creativity, progress and innovation happens in some areas of the country,” he noted.

“They spent their money in the region so that this nation does not progress and be dependent on them, but we have to prove that this country can walk the path of progress with the efforts of all our loved ones,” Iran’s president stressed.

Addressing the people of Eslamshahr on Thursday, President Rayeesi explained that “the enemy presumed that the production in Iran would be harmed by threats and sanctions, which was false”.

“Enemies wanted to interrupt our trade and exports with sanctions and threats, but Iran’s oil and non-oil exports were not interrupted,” he concluded.

Back in late October, Iran’s president underlined his country’s progress in energy sector despite the harsh US sanctions, and noted that Washington has been defeated in the maximum pressure policy against Tehran.

President Rayeesi highlighted the accelerated rate of Iran’s economic and scientific progress, and underscored that the enemy’s main goal is to disrupt the country’s growth and development path, but Tehran will continue its progressive path.

“The enemy sought to isolate Iran, but our (new) relations with the world countries were established and those already established improved,” Rayeesi stated. (READ MORE)

In quitting the 2015 nuclear deal, former President Donald Trump restored sanctions on Iran as part of what he called the “maximum pressure” campaign against the country. Those sanctions are being enforced to this day by the Joe Biden administration, even though it has repeatedly acknowledged that the policy has been a mistake and a failure.

Tehran says it will not be able to trust Washington as long as President Biden continues the wrong policy of maximum pressure and sanctions practiced by Trump against Iran.

Iranian officials say the Biden administration has yet done nothing but hollow promises to lift sanctions against Tehran. They blast the US addiction to sanctions, and slammed the POTUS for continuing his predecessor’s policy on Iran.
