Iran-Syria-Iraq joint judicial committee meets in Damascus

 A joint judicial committee of Iran, Syria and Iraq has convened in Damascus, according to local Syrian media.

According to the Syrian official news agency, in the meeting on Tuesday, the committee members will exchange views on terrorist-related cases being examined in the courts of the three countries, as well as cooperation on the trial of the terrorist elements and legal prosecution of the Zionist regime in launching a strike against Iran’s consular building in Damascus which killed a number of Iranian military advisors.

The Iranian delegation to the meeting was chaired by Vice-President of the Judiciary for International Affairs Kazem Gharibabadi, who also heads the country’s High Council for Human Rights.

On his trip to Syria, Gharibabadi is accompanied by some other Iranian judiciary officials including Tehran’s Prosecutor Ali Salehi.
