The Iranian team thrashed their Canadian rivals 45-22 in the eighth-finals.
The saber fencing team competed against Hungary in the quarterfinals, when the Iranians defeated their Hungarian rivals 45-44 and reached the semi-finals.
In the semifinals, Iran contested and overcame the German team 45-42 to reach the final.
In the final of the Fencing World Cup 2022, the Iranians faced South Korea, when they lost the game 45-34 and received the silver medal of the competition.
Iran’s saber fencing team had also won a silver medal in the World Cup 2018 in Padua, Italy.
