Iran FM opens new Iran’s consulate in Syria’s Damascus

The new building of the consular section of the Iranian embassy in Syria’s Damascus was inaugurated in a ceremony Monday attended by the foreign ministers of Iran and Syria.

Heading a political delegation, the Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian arrived in Damascus from Muscat on Monday as the second leg of his regional tour he embarked on yesterday.

Amir-Abdollahian along with his Syrian counterpart Faisal Mekdad visited the residence of the ambassador and the building of the consular section of the Iranian embassy in Damascus, which was the target of a rocket attack by the Zionist regime last Monday.

Seven of Iran’s military advisers in Syria and six Syrian citizens were martyred in the Zionist Israeli regime’s terrorist attack.

Iran has vowed it will not leave the aggression unanswered.
