صراط عشق صراط عشق
Ayatullah Haq Shinas (ra) said:
“Love of this world and love of God can not stay in a heart. One of it must leave.”
As Allah (swt) has said in Quran:
مَا جَعَلَ اللّٰہُ لِرَجُلٍ مِّنۡ قَلۡبَیۡنِ فِیۡ جَوۡفِہ (33:4)
“Allah has not made for a man two hearts in his interior.”
In the tragedy of Karbala, this is what happened with Umar Sa’d (la). Yazid and Shimer were kind the people who only wanted this world for themselves but Umar Sa’d (la) wanted to get, by murdering Imam Hussain (as), state of Ra’e and he also wanted to have a secure hereafter. The psychological dilemma of Umar Sa’d became apparent by his multiple one on one meetings with Imam Hussain (as). Because of it, he got confused but eventually, the love of this temporary world took him over and on the tenth of Muharram while firing the first arrow he said:
“O people, be my witness, the person who shot first arrow towards Hussain (as) is me.
