Iran Wins Seven Medals at Bolat Turlykhanov Cup

Iranian Greco-Roman wrestlers claimed seven medals at the Ranking Series event, the Bolat Turlykhanov Cup on Thursday.

Iranian wrestlers claimed three gold medals, three silvers and one bronze medal in the games.

Pooya Dadmarz defeated Kazakhstan’s Marlan Mukashev in the 55kg weight class final 4-2.

Alireza Nejati seized a gold in the 60kg after defeating his compatriot Pooya Nasserpour 9-0 in the 60kg final bout.

Ramin Taheri also won Iran’s  third gold after edging Aivengo Rikadze from Georgia 2-1.

Mehdi Fallah lost to Turkey’s Metehan Basar 2-1 in the final match of the 97kg.

In the 130kg, Amin Mirzazadeh lost to Turkish wrestler Osman Yildirim 3-2 in the final and Ali Akbar Yousefi defeated Indian wrestler Satish Satish 9-0 in the bronze medal match.
