Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei called for the punishment of the criminals behind the kidnapping and killing of Iranian cleric Molawi Abdulwahid Rigi.
Following the tragic kidnapping and martyrdom of Molawi Abdulwahid Rigi, Ayatollah Khamenei expressed his sorrow over this event in a message.
The text of the Leader’s message, released by Khamenei.ir on Wednesday, is as follows:
In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful
The tragic kidnapping of Mr. Molawi Abdulwahid Rigi (may God bestow His mercy on him) and the martyrdom of this benevolent, courageous cleric has brought my sorrow and grief. The villains who committed this crime are disgraceful mercenaries who are working at the service of those who are the enemies of the welfare of their Baluch countrymen and the unity of Iranian ethnic groups. The duty of the responsible government agencies is to pursue and punish the criminals, and this should be done quickly and sternly.
I offer my condolences to the honorable family of this martyr and all the people of Baluchistan, especially the people of Khash and Iranshahr. I ask God to bestow His mercy on all of us.
