Leader Sends Message of Condolence on Death of Former Iranian Minister

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei expressed his condolences on the passing of former Iranian minister of roads Rostam Qassemi.

In a message released on Wednesday, Ayatollah Khamenei expressed his condolences on the passing of Qassemi as one of the indefatigable and revolutionary administrators.

The text of the message is as follows:

In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful

I offer my condolences on the demise of the late Mr. Rostam Qassemi (may God have mercy on him) to his honorable family, friends, and colleagues. He was one of the indefatigable, revolutionary men who served the country and provided valuable services in various fields. He kept up his endeavors until the last days of his life. I ask the Almighty God to bestow His mercy, forgiveness, and reward on the deceased for his struggles on the path of God.

Qassemi passed away on December 8 after a long struggle with illness.

President Ebrahim Raisi accepted Qassemi’s resignation in November following the deterioration of the latter’s health conditions some two months earlier.

Immediately after that, the former commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps’ Khatam al-Anbiya Construction Headquarters, began a serious treatment process of cancer and underwent chemotherapy.
