Iran has called on international organizations to adopt a clear stance against the Zionist entity’s threats and terrorism in the region, but the Islamic Republic very well knows that these bodies and the US and West European regimes that control them will never take any measure in this regard.
It was only a courtesy call by Tehran in line with its commitment to diplomacy and international norms. In other words, Iran reserves the right to retaliate with terrible vengeance if Israel were to cross any redline.
The other day, the Iranian foreign minister, in view of the gross violation of the convention of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) by its director-general, rang up the UN secretary-general to brief him about the lawlessness rampant in Vienna and the obstacles thrown in the way for resumption of the US-breached Joint Comprehensive Plan Of Action (JCPOA).
Other than sweet talk that does not resolve any problem Antonio Guterres did not give any firm assurance to Hossein Amir-Abdollahian about Rafael Grossi’s misconduct in disclosing details of Iran’s peaceful nuclear project to Israel, which is not a member of the IAEA, not through any secret phone call but by visiting Tel Aviv to openly inform Naftali Bennet and other Zionist ringleaders and then take orders from them to issue an anti-Iranian resolution in Vienna, drafted by the US, Britain, France, and Germany.
All this is undeniable proof of the politicization of a purely technical issue by the main mischief-mongers obstinately opposed to the Islamic Republic and intent upon indulging in any devilish design to harm the Iranian people, and this time by flouting the IAEA and making a fool of Grossi, who during his trip to Tehran last month had openly admitted that there was no outstanding problem with Iran.
As noted by Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman in his press conference on Monday after clarifying that in response to the IAEA’s about turn, Iran had no other choice except to drop certain voluntary measures (not mandated) it had taken earlier to show its goodwill: “It is unfortunate that the director-general of the International Atomic Energy Agency has granted the unlawful regime of Israel permission to make a mockery of the international organization through its agents, and erode its credibility.”
Saeed Khatibzadeh said Grossi has “made a trip to a wrong place and at the wrong time and met with the wrong people to deal a heavy blow to the agency’s credibility” – thereby creating obstacles in the path of implementing the JCPOA.
All this indicates that the illegal Zionist entity has been tasked by the US, Britain, France, and Germany, to step up its threats and terrorism against the Islamic Republic to test the patience of the Iranian people – oblivious of the terrible fate awaiting it.
