Global Solidarity With Heroic Palestinians

Mass rallies have been held across the Muslim world in solidarity with the oppressed people of Palestine after Israeli forces on Friday barged inside Al-Aqsa Mosque and brutally assaulted the Palestinian worshipers.
In Turkey’s most populous city of Istanbul, protesters converged outside the Israeli consulate early Saturday, waving Palestinian flags and calling for the Arab and international support for Al-Aqsa Mosque worshippers.
“We are living in a time when we witness all forms of oppression and terrorism. The Muslim world and oppressed peoples continue to pay heavy prices and suffer every day. Wherever we turn, a cry makes our hearts ache,” Mehmet Yaroglu, a senior member of the Anatolian Youth Association, said in a statement.
“The dignity of all Muslims, not just our Palestinian brethren, is being trampled on. Muslim lands are bleeding every day,” the statement added.
In the Jordanian capital of Amman, hundreds of people demonstrated near the Israeli embassy to show support for Palestinians. They chanted “No Zionism on the Jordanian soil!” and “The Jordanian people are against the normalization!”
Zionist forces violently attacked demonstrations held by Palestinians in the occupied West Bank on Friday in solidarity with worshipers assaulted at Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS), a national humanitarian organization, said in a statement that its medics attended to 344 injured people following attacks by Israeli forces in several cities on Friday.
Lebanese and Yemeni resistance groups condemned the Zionist regime’s “terrorism machine”, with Hezbollah expressing solidarity with the uprising of the Palestinian people.
It hailed the braveness of the Palestinian people and their “heroic confrontation”.
The Lebanese resistance movement also urged the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the Arab League, and Arab and Islamic countries and peoples to “carry out their religious and moral duties by confronting these terrorist practices and by supporting the people of Al-Quds”.
The political bureau of Yemen’s Ansarullah resistance movement also strongly condemned the Israeli brutalities and the regime’s desecration of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The resistance movement, in a statement released on Friday, saluted the Palestinian people for their heroic response to the Zionist regime’s arrogance.
In separate statements, the Yemeni foreign ministry, the presidency of the Yemeni house of representatives and Yemeni tribes also denounced Israeli atrocities and supported the Palestinian people’s right to react in self-defense.
The Iraqi Foreign Ministry and
anti-terror resistance groups also condemned the desecration of the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound and attack on Palestinian worshipers.
“Iraq expresses its strong condemnation of the high rate of violence in Palestinian territories, the expansion of Israeli forces’ operations in Palestinian cities and villages, and the excessive use of violence against Palestinians which has resulted in fatalities, injuries, and dozens of arrests,” the ministry said in a statement.
Qais Khazali, the secretary-general of Iraq’s Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq resistance movement, called on all freedom-loving people in the Muslim world to confront Israeli aggression against Al-Aqsa Mosque.
He said Iraqi resistance forces are fully prepared to do whatever is necessary to ensure the continuation of the Palestinian struggle until the usurping Zionist regime is annihilated.
“We reiterate our solid support to the oppressed Palestinian nation against Zionists and all Arab countries normalizing ties with the Israeli regime,” Akram al-Kaabi, the secretary-general of Harakat Hezbollah al-Nujaba, said.
A statement issued by the Algerian ministry of foreign affairs stressed “the need to provide full protection for Muslim worshipers, and to allow them to perform rituals” at the site.
Russia’s foreign ministry said the occupying regime of Israel has turned Gaza into “a prison under the open sky”.
“As well-known, in violation of numerous decisions of the Security Council and the UN General Assembly, Israel continues illegal occupation and ‘creeping annexation’ of the Palestinian territories, as a result of which over 2.5 million Palestinians in the West Bank and the Jordan Valley live in isolated enclaves cut off from the outside world,” the ministry said in a statement.
“The Gaza Strip has essentially become an ‘open-air prison,’ whose two million people have been forced to survive for almost 14 years under the conditions of the Israeli sea, air, and land blockade,” it added.
The ministry also slammed Israeli foreign minister Yair Lapid for accusing Moscow of committing war crimes in Ukraine, saying the Zionist regime is using the military operation in the former Soviet state to “distract” the world from the regime’s ongoing conflict with Palestinians.
“There is an effort to take advantage of the situation around Ukraine to distract the international community from one of the longest unresolved conflicts — the Palestinian-Israeli,” the ministry said.
“It is also noteworthy that… the longest occupation in the post-war world history is carried out with the tacit connivance of the leading Western countries and the actual support of the United States,” it added.
U.S. lawmaker Ilhan Omar denounced the Israeli forces’ “horrific” violence, describing the holy month of Ramadan as “a time of peace and reflection” for Muslim worshipers.
Rashida Tlaib, another American lawmaker, said the attack by Zionist forces using bullets, sound grenades, and tear gas against Palestinian worshipers was “simply wrong + crue”.
