Iran Sends Humanitarian Aid to Palestinian Refugee Camp in Syria

Tons of humanitarian assistance from Iran arrived at the gateway of al-Yarmuk Palestinian refugee camp in Damascus.

The aid was delivered to a Syria-based Palestinian faction with the presence of Iran’s ambassador to Damascus. The ambassador reiterated Tehran’s unwavering support for the Palestinians and their cause.

The convoy contains 4,000 food parcels that will be distributed among the needy Palestinians in the refugee camps.

Heads of Palestinian factions emphasized the importance of Iran’s historic support for the steadfastness of Palestinians. They also vowed to stay adherent to resistance until their land is freed.

The onset of the Syrian crisis resulted in tens of thousands of refugees being displaced and scattered across the Arab country, with increasing humanitarian needs. Before the crisis, Palestinians used to live a normal life until terrorists took over al-Yarmuk refugee camp in Damascus, the largest of its kind in the region.

Iran has been supporting the legitimate rights of Palestinians to fight against Israeli occupation. The Islamic Republic continues to stand by Palestinians.
